Food for thought vs. Thought for food

People get interested when they hear "food for thought"
As a translator however I hate it when I hear that
Translators have to think seriously all-day everyday
About whatever thoughts that come their way
What they really need is not more thoughts or ideas
But what keeps them going and kicking
In dealing with someone else's thinking
That, to me, boils down to good food.
I am in a mood to talk about food today
Based on the breakfast I just had
"Coffee or Tea for your drink"
I'd like to have both, if I may, when asked
Looking not at what's on my plate
I am more interested in the drinks aside
In a hand-painted Italian cup is RED tea
Which the English insist in calling it "black"
Freshly brewed minutes ago in a Kutani pot
Taste of the tea is familiar, and quality good
Picking up the fancy package and tin
I started to read what's on the little paper bag *1
I am convinced what am sipping is from the top
Of the jutted peaks near China's Southeast Coast
Somewhere between Fujian, Jiangxi and Zhejiang
As I started to enjoy my second cup
Everybody else had almost finished their pancake
I began to devour the heap on my plate
A gulp of tea and I felt a good thing wasted
Only then I realized there's coffee on the left
The bottle was sweating but the coffee was cold
"I don't want it cold, I'd like it hot"
I had it microwaved in a mug and started to read
It is labeled Cold Brew Coffee, MAUI MOCHA *2
A 12 oz bottle filled with a Kona blend
The logo is a medallion among tall palm trees
With lava flowing out of a Hawaiian volcano
Suggesting a sizzling hot infusion and great intensity
Into the brand name KonaRed, but wait a minute
To me it's more appropriate to describe a coffee "black"
Now I'd better start drinking the coffee and eating cake
Otherwise it's going to again get cold
Somehow the pancake tasted better now
It might be the extra spoon of Canadian maple syrup
Or the instant flux of caffeine that just kicked in
A bit surprised at how well the drink and food matched
I picked up the bottle again: "Handcrafted with Aloha"!
Well, at least it reminded me of blue Hawaii and Maui
And of the fact that something that good
Can come out of a town called Carlsbad

Notes:

This is what I had this morning (See notes *1 and *2)

I don't know a lot about this specific brand of tea, I just know it tasted good to me. An introduction on Baidu reads:
金骏眉 (红茶) and the following text is printed on the paper bag:

Really?Well,it's making me feel luckier the more I read. But I am worried that at the rate of translation we are charging, this might be my last cup!

*2 KonaRed Maui Mocha

I am not encouraging more food for thought, but more thought about tastes of food. For those of you who do drink coffee a lot, here is a link to know more about the specialty coffee maker.
The KonaRed of Carlesbad

Coffee or Tea! ...... Yes you can have both (if you charge enough)!😋

e.g.

temper-tantrum
