recently I have noticed that there're every time more western people who are interested in learn chinese. As a chinese , I'm so disapointed with my chinese writing skills. I have been living out of china since when I was a child, so my native language is chinese but not so exactly. I would like to ask you to help to find some internet sources or schools to learn chinese for chinese people with basic notions of the language. I have been searching for ... See more

Don't be disappointed in your Chinese writing skill. To learn a language, you need to live in that language. For this reason, you've learned Spanish and Catalan.

If you are doing Spanish/Calatan into Chinese, you need to polish your Chinese. The most effecient and effect way would be, go to China for a few years. Find out there what possibilities you have to make a living and live in Chinese.

When you do your living in Chinese, you learn Chinese automatically. And when you start to talk in Chinese in your dreams, you have learned Chinese.

Before you come into that stage, you need to read a lot of Chinese writings. But don't start with classics. Instead, you should do some basics, that is, read popular writings, such as newspapers, magazines, three-penny novels and short stories in Chinese.

After that you become familiar with colloquial Chinese, it would be very easy for you to get into the classics. I am afraid, there is no short cut for learning a language. Reading, reading and reading while you keep on talking and writing to people. The language skill can only be learned through communication with people, i.e., interaction with people.

I'm sorry I was busy lately that I only noticed your question today. To help you get used to reading and writing of Chinese, I would use Chinese next.

我正在修習華語師資培訓課程，由該課程知道中國的華語教學比台灣有更好、更有系統的教材，及完整的程度測驗。一般來說，華語教學分為初初、初中、初高、中初、中中、中高、高初、高中、高高等九級，以你所述的程度，我想你可以試試中中或中高級的測驗，若能過關，就可直接從較高一級的課開始上。

至少台灣培育的華語教師是這樣：基本上分為教外國人華語及教華僑子弟華語；後者又分為完全沒基礎，及有基礎、會聽說但讀寫不太靈光的兩大類。你無庸置疑是屬於最後這一類。放心，華語教材有很多，你一定可以找到適合你程度、不至於太淺顯入門的教材。


至於網路資源，以下我也簡單介紹一點：

我因為在台灣，並不了解中國的華語教學情形，因此只能提供你台灣這邊的一個機構的網站：全球華文網路教育中心，http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/home.htm

在該網站上請點選「語文教學」，其中有華語教學初級／中級／高級的教材，高級部份又分為初中華文和高中華文，你可點選看看何者較適合你的程度。在沒有老師、也不知上哪兒買教材的情況下，我認為你很可以利用這個網站的教材資源。唯一對你來說比較難一點的可能只是：這是繁體字網站。

這網站上的初級教材也頗有可觀之處，例如若你不太會寫中文，初級教材裏有線上教寫字的 Flash 動畫，會教你如何照正確的筆順寫字；也為每個字提供詞條，幫助學生熟悉該字。雖是教華僑小孩用的，但成人又何嘗不能拿來練習如何正確書寫一個字。
