Hi everybody, I need your help in a mundane matter

A Taiwanese friend of mine sent me a unannounced gift, without any accompanying letter. Apparently, it is something edible, since the calories are quoted on the package.

I have scanned it and uploaded the image here:

Could you please tell me what this is?

Apparently, what your friend sent you is edible, made of algae, and, besides, Japanese.

Enjoy!

P.S. Since the algae are not processed into sheets, you cannot eat them just like that. You need to cook them as soup. Just cook some fish cubes boiling in water and add one piece of that stuff and some tofu and miso into the soup. It's delicious.

ALGHE NORI Sep 18, 2006

Ciao Andreina!
Ciò che ti è stato spedito sono delle alghe nori, cioè le tipiche alghe che si usano per avvolgere i rotoli di sushi

Ciao e...buon appetito!
Antonio
