Dear all,

I have an English-Arabic translation and when I am exporting the Arabic doc, the text orientation changes from right to left into left to right. Also, the order of the words changes.

Any idea how I can export correctly my Arabic translation??

Please advise as soon as possible.

many many thanks,

Elena

Details on your PC's OS and the source document? Jan 15, 2013

Greetings.

Kindly clarify [1] what type of OS you are using on your PC (cannot advise about Mac-specific OS or platforms) and [2] where and how is the Arabic RTL text displayed -- it that Arabic text embedded or mixed with the English LTR text?

I surmise that the OS in your PC is MS Windows 2000 or later. Those versions contain internal Arabic language support, including fonts, RTL drivers, margin change options, and keyboard options (the 101-key keyboard seems the more-standard and usable layout, IMPO).

If you are trying to display both the English and Arabic text as separate items pasted onto one page, one solution would be to insert two text boxes, arrange them side-by-side, adjust their size to fit the page-space as you wish, and then cut-and-paste the respective English text into the left-hand box and then the Arabic text into the right-hand box.

Hope this helps.
