Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a few problems with xliff files.
A client sent me some .xlf files and I translated them using dvx2 in normal fashion with its built-in filter. However, the exported file, although still in .xlf, are rejected by client's Ektron CMS from which the source xliff files were originally generated.

My questions are:
(1) is there a special way to import .xlf files into a DVX2 project?
(2) do I need to ask client for a schema file to create my own XML filter?
(3) any particular requirements when exporting DVX2 project?

As well, when I opened a dvx-translated file in notepad, the first line shows:

and through-out file, dvx2 seems to have added this attribute:

Swordfish also indicates the dvx exported .xlf file is not a valid xliff file.

I am asking Atril for support but in the mean time if anyone here has any suggestion, it will be greatly appreciate.

Thanks in advance

Ray

Hi Selcuk
I have the latest build.

Interestingly, I used Swordfish to translate the same file for testing and comparison, the Swordfish file has added at the beginning the following:

xliff namespace Mar 1, 2013

I ran source file through Swordfish xliff checker module and it says the following:

Validating: C:\Users\X Ray\Desktop\xliff\originals\cont21474888690_ja-JP.xlf

- XML file parsed.

- XLIFF version: 1.2

* XLIFF namespace not declared.

> XLIFF namespace declaration added.

- Validating against Transitional XML Schema.

- Checking content details.

* Invalid date: 2013-02-07T04:14:09

Selected file is not valid XLIFF.

"namespace" seems to be a plausible cause of this issue. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

Ray
