Why is "Join sentence" in gray?

I'm using Deja Vu, wanting to join two sentences. However, "Join sentence(ctrl-J)" is in gray and I just can't use it. For a few sentences, it could be used and for most sentences, it is in gray. Could anyone give kind help? Great thanks in advance!

if this is excel or PP this is normal.
if it is word, you need to check the source at that point
