I am looking for a tool that colour-codes .jsp files (Java Server Page), so that I can see the difference between the .jsp code and the text to be translated. Does such a tool exist? I would be extremely grateful for any tips!

Syntax highlighting in text editors? Jun 4, 2003

If you have a decent text editor (TextPad et al.), it might already have the feature that you need... it's usually called "syntax highlighting". Also, any reasonably advanced HTML editor that allows you to edit the source code directly should also mark up JavaScript accordingly -- no matter whether it's embedded in HTML or a standalone jsp file.

However, for different environments such as MS Word, I haven't really seen anything so far (like, say, a macro to do the color markup). Something like the TRADOS macro that marks up .rc files for translation would be extremely handy... anybody know?

WordPad: Where do I find the feature for syntax highlighting? Jun 5, 2003

I do have WordPad, but I don't know where to find the option for syntax-highlighting (stupid me, I'm sorry). Could you please help me again? That would be great.

A colleague told me that TRADOS 5.5 processes .jsp files without any problems. Unfortunately, I am working with a very old version of TRADOS (2.3.0) which does not contain this feature...

Thanks for you help!

I use Microsoft Visual Studio. Of course it is an overkill, but I have it...
