I just saw this on Jost Zetzches's newsletter at www.internationalwriters.com.

"How is this for a VERY cool keyboard shortcut: When you're in a browser window (I tested this with Firefox, IE, Safari, and Opera), you can use the space bar to scroll down on a Web page one full screen at a time. And if you want to scroll up again, use Shift + space bar."

I never knew this before, but then there are many things I never knew before.icon_rolleyes.gif

However, if Jost has only just discovered it, I would guess that few people already knew.icon_wink.gif

Happy scrolling!

Chris

Great shortcut, thanks! Oct 7, 2008

Faster than a mouse wheel, and works better than PgUp/PgDown.

Scroll down is Space and has been for a long time, but Shift-Space is new to me. Thanks!

Thanks, Chris
I wasn't aware of this shortcut, very useful. I've trying to use more shortcuts and less mouse and I do work faster now.

Goodbye tediousness Oct 7, 2008

This is the best, I should say "these are the best" shortcuts I've ever learned. Goodbye to the tediousness of roll, roll, roll, click, click, click. You made my day!

Hi Tomás and all,

Don't thank me, thank. Jost.

Do yourselves a favour and check out his newsletter on the URL I posted at the top.

Independent business and technical information concerning the localisation industry and translation profession. Peppered with useful advice. I'd be surprised if you did not appreciate it.

Cheers
Chris

Also with pdf :-)) Nov 12, 2008

Just out of curiosity I tried it with Foxit Reader and it's working! Probably also with Acrobat Reader but I don't use that one so it's up to someone else to have a taste of success thereicon_smile.gif
