Off topic: Do you use any face/object recognizing program?
Thread poster: Ali Bayraktar
I know such programs are used by the casinos, police or intelligent services but is there any commercial available programs?
I try to explain my purpose and what I am looking for:
- I want to find the exact videos or pictures containing a person's face or an object in a batch of videos or pictures.
For example I have 100 Video files. And I want to find the scenes where a person's face appears (e.g. movie star; Jim Carey or Banderas etc)
Or I have a batch containing 10000 images and I want to select the specific pictures in which the desired person or object appears (for example finding my friend's face or finding specific type of hats, bags or even spoon or knives)
Has anybody used such programs?
Can you suggest any commercial available one which works both with videos and images?
Thanks in advance

Do you use a mac or a pc?
iPhoto 2009 for mac can organise photos by faces - I haven't tried the other iLife video software (iMovie).
I'm afraid I don't know which Windows program can do that.
I hope this helps,
