HI all!
I have a client that sent me a lot of php files, which I have never worked with.
Could anyone suggest me what would be the best way to work on these files?
I have OmegaT, Trados and Wordfast.

Thank you in advance!
Eugenia

SDL edit Dec 30, 2009

hi,

I assume you have Trados 2006 or +. I usually work with .itd format when translating scripting code such as xml, php, and asp. You will have the whole source code in translating segments. This way, you won't lose any script delimiter. It is quite convenient to compare with source file since both source and target are aligned in rows.

Hope it helps.

JM

Wordfast Dec 30, 2009

I have used Wordfast Classic with PHP files, without a hitch. It simply recognizes all the tags and preprocesses them automatically when starting up.

Using WF Dec 30, 2009

Just a comment to add that if you use Wordfast Classic, refer to the Wordfast manual for how to use with html/php files
