PDF are not editable Jul 6, 2004

or at least not with the Reader software.
In order to edit PDF, you need Adobe Acrobat, but even then editing is not allways possible.
PDF is designed for transporting and printing data, not for data editing.

Jerzy

The Reader, as the name says, it's only to read. To edit the document you need the real software - Adobe Acrobat

Editing is quite difficult even with Acrobat Jul 6, 2004

It would be more convenient to ask for the document in its original format.

Or, if it is not possible, you may use an OCR software (Abbyys Finereader is the best for this purpose)or any other software to convert PDF into an easily editable format.

Solid Converter PDF software Jul 8, 2004

The best thing is to get the file that was used to create the file (usually PageMaker or FrameMaker). However, if it is not available then you could try the program described below.

There is a program that converts pdf to MSWord and vice versa. I used it and it is very easy to use and fairly good. I experienced some problem with MSWord after I installed, however. It crashed sometimes, but some other people I know haven't had that problem.

You can try it for free and then decide if you'd like to purchase it.

Hope this helps.

Consuelo
