Dear all
I am in touch with an outsourcer for a big translation contract; among other files he would like me to translate CSV files.
The sample I received is strange: two lines with only one column.
I tried with CSV Ed, but it doesn't seem to work.
If you have some ideas?
Thanks a lot and have a nice week-end
Madeleine

Translate these two words in Notepad and forget.

It worked!

Of course it is not two words but two very long strings.
But I could edit them with Notepad.
This is enough while I am at the test step and perhaps later!
Thanks a lot Sergeï,
Madeleine

Use a CAT
Jul 12, 2013
WF Pro, Trados Studio, ... Without a CAT these files are a real pain.
You can also copy them into Word, but a problem arises when copying them back into Excel (line breaks = different cells), and your client will expect Excel files.

Excel or the multilingual delimited text filter
Jul 13, 2013
Try saving the CSV as XLSX,and importing it into memoQ - or try the multilingual delimited text filter, that's for CSV.
