My client sends me a zip file and asks me to update the translation. So far, so good. But client wants the updated text back as a zip file. How do I do that. I know how to unzip but not how to (re)zip a document. Thanks

WinZip is one option Sep 21, 2005

You can download this program from:
http://www.winzip.com/

I've used WinZip for years without ever having to pay for it (although the impression given on the website is that you should pay).

You will need WinZip (www.winzip.com) or StuffIt, which does zip format too, from www.stuffit.com. Since the zip algorithm is in the public domain, there are certainly some free solutions around.

If you have Total Commander... Sep 21, 2005

... it can do the packaging (under File, in the menu) - same thing for unpackaging, BTW.

If you've got Windows XP Sep 22, 2005

just right-click on the file, select Send To... and select Compressed folder.

Dear Charlie,

With your indications I could zip my file. Thanks so much.
Adela

Dear Charlie and others,

My client received the reference/the link, but the document/file was not in there. What did I do wrong.
Thanks very much.

A link to a file is far different than the file itself. Can you explain more?
