Hello,

I've tried google and I see several codes %20(space), %40 (@), etc. but I can't find the apostrophe.

Anybody?

The ASCII code of "'" (not curled in any direction) is 39.

BTW, here's a list of ANSI characters, the first 127 correspond to the ASCII table.

If you are running under Windows OS try the charactermap. Find the charachter and click on it. The hex-code is displayed in the bottom left corner.

If you enter 39 into the Windows Calculater (in scientific mode) and switch to Hex, it gives you 27.

You can verify it in the other way: enter 40 as Hex, which gives you 64 as Dez, and when you enter Alt+64 in an editor you get your @.

Short cut Dec 7, 2005

In Word, type the apostrophe "'" and move the cursor to the back of it, then press "Alt+X": 0027

Alternatively, type the apostrophe "'", highlight it and click Insert-Character (symbol? I am not sure 'cause I am running on Chinese Word). A window pops up to show you the HEX/decimal code.

Hope this helps.
