Recently I have been asked to sign a disclosure agreement and had to put a digital signature. Of course, I have failed because the program is very expensive. Has anybody have such an experience with digital signatures and are there any not expensive ways to aquire it? Do you often have to use such a signature?

Hi Vaida Apr 11, 2006

I use VeriSign Document Signer v2.0 Plugin for Adobe Acrobat. You may download it here:

One more question about the software Apr 12, 2006

Dear Natalia,

Thank you very much for the link. Could you say, What version of Adobe Acrobat do you use? In that site they offer to download Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.1, but Adobe Reader 7.0 is downloaded. And with it I cannot follow the instructions of using "plug-in". Is there something special I should know? Did you buy your Adobe Acrobat or it is free?

Thank you for your time and consideration

Vaida

Hi again Apr 12, 2006

Vaida, I own a full version of Acrobat 6. I did not try the DocSigner with Acrobat Reader, but I assume that it will work with the newest version (i.e. 7). After all, both AR and DS are free, so just try yourself.

Hi Natalia and all,

When I follow the link above, VeriSign is trying to sell me a USB device called MyCredential blahblah... for USD 595!

They must have hidden the free signature version somewhere else? Or did I misunderstand something?

/Jan

Hi Jan,

I just found the following link to download the plugin mentionned by Natalie:
http://www.verisign.co.uk/pki/pki-security/trusted-form-signing/

By the way, you can have it in Sweedish too, lucky youicon_wink.gifhttp://www.verisign.se/pki/pki-security/trusted-form-signing/index.html

But I have not tried it yet, don't if/how it works, but I'll surely have a try.icon_wink.gif
