1. sterben / stirb: Im Indikativ des Präsens heißt es: ich sterbe, du stirbst, er stirbt. Der Imperativ lautet: stirb! (nicht: sterbe!). e / i-Wechsel.
2. Konjunktiv: Der Konjunktiv II von sterben lautet ich stürbe.
findet man so ziemlich alles, was die deutsche Grammatik angeht, u.a. auch Verbkonjugationen aller Couleur.
Ist auch für Muttersprachler manchmal ganz nützlich...

Die Feinheiten in Konjunktivformen

Die Feinheiten in Kontivformen sind für mich ziemlich schwierig aufzudecken. Ich schreibe anstelle "stürbe" immer "sterben würde" und "Zum Teufel" für "Stirb!" Hoffentlich machen solche Umformulierungen noch Sinn. Das ist wohl eine Nichtmuttersprachlerlösung, wahr?
