ATA membership - worthwhile?

the answer is very simple Mar 24, 2010

While ATA is nationwide, local associations are what their name implies, local, therefore the market is restricted.
In the last 6 months I have been contacted at least 15-18 times by different agencies for both translating and interpreting jobs and they mentioned that they got my name from the ATA list.
The rest is up to you !

What about the ATA-sponsored seminars/conferences? Do you guys attend any of those? What was your experience like?
