Agency Registration Issues

Hi,

As you probably see this is only a test account, so please don't look at me as some random guy who just wants to screw around. I wanted to see how the site works before I actually pay money, which I unfortunately almost did before I noticed something.

Well, let me tell you. I run an agency and wanted to register a corporate account here and then bid on certain job offers I feel comfortable my employees can complete professionally.

But there is a problem. I see that like 99,99% of the job offers are aimed exclusively to freelancers only. And those people who didn't select the option to accept only freelancers, seem to did this either because they forgot about it, or simply didn't know it's possible. (i.e. they're still searching for freelancers only)

So I was quite shocked seeing I almost set up a corporate account and most likely wouldn't have gotten any results whatsoever.

So please tell me, is it really worth for agencies to register on this site, or is this place mainly aimed at freelancers only. I mean the price is quit high to register an agency, but this is exactly why I believed this site is serious (since only real and authentic businesses are willing to pay money to get listed), but I come to believe that the high price is in place exactly to make people believe that this site may be very profitable for your business, but in fact it's not.

Or I may be totally wrong, please give me some advice regarding this matter.
Thank you very much.

Isn't it intended to be the other way around? Apr 18, 2011

I could be wrong, but I thought the primary purpose of agencies creating accounts here was so that they could post jobs they need translators to complete, rather than applying for jobs themselves. I have not been on this site for that long, but I have done work for several agencies that I made contact with through job postings they created here.

Why would you want to look at job offers as an agency? Apr 18, 2011

ProZ.com is not a job board, it is a portal that greatly enhances your visibility. All of my direct clients have found me here. I never look at the job offers. The membership is worth every cent.
