The ATA's Mentoring Program is a translation skill-building program for members of the ATA. If you're like me and have embarked on a career in translating (or are thinking about it) but have had little or no formal training in translation, this might be something for you. Many people discover translating a little later in life when going back to school full time is no longer a viable option. It might be an alternative to an online translation certificate program or something to do in addition. The current ATA Chronicle includes a short FAQ about the program and here's more info. Maybe someone knows more about it than I do and can fill us in on the details.
