I am originally from Ukraine and have a MA degree in English from a local university. Moving to the DC area in the summer and considering a career in translating in the US. Thinking about getting a Certificate in Translation from American University. Would appreciate any comments from anyone who's had experience with this school or just getting started in the US with a degree from a foreign university.
Any advice on what school it would be best to attend, what certificates to obtain to be competitive in the US market?
Thanks for your time!
