A friend of mine, a legal translator EN into SP & SP into EN, is moving (immigrating) from Venezuela to New Zealand at the end of this year. She needs help and contacts to start working there as a translator. Any help out there?

Thanks in advance,

Marocas

Welcome, and try NZSTI (NZ Society of Translators and Interpreters) Jun 11, 2005

http://www.nzsti.org/

- Plus maybe visit university Spanish departments

- There are Spanish-speaking South Americans here, settled and on working holidays

- NZ has a free-trade agreement with Chile

- You need to be an NZSTI member or Naati-qualified translator to get some of the work for government departments here (eg translations of official documents).
