I don't know if you can draw that conclusion or not May 4, 2019

To me it is a little too quick to conclude that doctors wouldn't need the translation from English at all even if they read English literature.

Furthermore, most medical translations are ordered by government agencies or pharmaceutical/medical device companies, not by doctors themselves. It is mandated that some types of documents be always translated into Chinese in this regulated industry, and it doesn't matter if the doctors would choose to read the translations or their originals.

"Measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine" is officially translated into Chinese as, literally, "Measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine". If you add its indication, it will become "Measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (indicated for the prevention of Measles, mumps, and rubella)". I don't think that is an ideal way of translating this vaccine's name.

Of course, you don't need to add anything to this self-explanatory name. However, in the UK it will often be documented simply as MMR vaccination, or even by the proprietary name M-M-RVAXPRO. But not all vaccines have equivalent vaccines in all countries.

Is it time to find direct clients? May 5, 2019

Your profile paints the picture of someone who is specialized in medical and engineering, so I wonder if instead of having to go out and bid on low-paying jobs, you could start a big marketing effort to try to win some high(er) paying direct clients that could benefit from your experience?
