Hi!
I got an editing job and the client basically would like me to read approximately 200 pages from a book and then to write a summary about it. My question is – how should I charge him for reading – per page or per hour? What’s the correct way? Would be grateful for any suggestion! Thanks in advance!

Proofreading should be charge per hour because you never know how many errors you'll encounter, but in this case, there are no "errors" and presumably every page will take as long as it takes to read any page. So time yourself reading 100 or 1000 words (out loud is best), and calculate how much you should charge per page. This will enable you to give the client a definite quote and not a variable one.
