Hi,

Could you please tell me how to give a quote? Target or source language? My language pair is English-Polish. If I am given a document to be translated by an agency do they usually provide a wordcount. It\'s just I don\'t want to waiste my time counting every word. Thank you for all your insight.

Hi Bozena,

It\'s true; agencies like mine, prefer a word price in the source language. It makes it very easy comparing and will not surprise you afterwards.

I do not know which software editing tool you use, but the most regular one, Word do have a word count. Which makes it easy to take over. Just look under the top bar \'extra\'.

Good luck.

Rob

Scan in the text Feb 24, 2003

This is what the agency I work for a lot does: if they get a hard-copy text, they scan it in into Word, I believe, to get the word count. Texts on-line can be counted with the Word counting system.

I know that there are also word counting software packages out there, but am not familiar with them.

Good luck! Lucinda
