In Greek we have the word Meraki. It is a great word but is hard to describe in English. It is a way of doing something (a mix of love and style and enjoyment). It is a feeling. So if you do something with meraki,(from making a salad to decorating) it means that you have given something of yourself when doing it (positive of course)!

Mόνοι μας, εξαφανίζουμε τη γλώσσα μας!!! και για τις τρεις λέξεις υπάρχει "μετάφραση" στα ελληνικά :
μεράκι = παθιάρικα (με πάθος, πολλές φορές με εμπάθεια)
χασάπης = κρεοπώλης
μπογιατζής = ελαιοχρωματιστής
θα μπορούσαμε στις μεταφράσεις μας, να κρατούμε, αλλά και να προωθούμε τις καθαρά ελληνικές λέξεις ένα επίσης μεγάλο λάθος είναι το επίρρημα "ακόμα" καθαρα αλβανικό επίρρημα, το σωστό ελληνικό είναι "ακόμη".
Επίσης : "καράφλος"(δηλαδή η κάρα μου έμεινε χωρίς τρίχα! και "φαλακρός" δηλαδή ο φάλος μου έμεινε χωρίς τρίχα! με ποιόν θίγουμε τον πλησίον μας? ▲ Collapse
