Well...

He insists on giving us:

- excellent URL's to help us with translation

- off-topic URL's that make us laugh and enjoy our days.

- excellent URL's to make us think and reconsider our values, making us better persons (in general).

- congratulations on our birthdays.

- help, and time, and enjoyment.

Therefore, he deserves a big off-topic just to say:

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

Good luck,

Mar

- etc....

I'm sure I am forgetting a couple more.

He's very focused and intent on being and remaining a valuable *asset* to this community.

Merci José Luis!

There's not much I can add, except that I'm glad to know "JL", without ever having met him in person.

Kind regards, Ralf

Thank you all... Jun 18, 2003

Hola,

I am moved by all of your comments. Thank you! I am not different from many other ProZians who want to share what they have (Aurora et al.).

The only way to be a good "pro" is to be a good human being. If you are a good translator/interpreter but have no human warmth and do not project good vibes, you may end up isolated. Ok, you may be fine and with a lot of cash but...what about life? passion? love? energy? desire to move ahead? dreams? friends?

I make mistakes just like anyone else but I learn from them and try to improve. I have matured here in ProZ.com and thank you all for your help.

Let us all share our knowledge for the benefit of humanity and we will have a better place for all of us (and the coming generations). Let us leave small differences aside and work to iron out those "big" differences in order to me more understanding, loving, open, less bitter, real, passionate, and better.

Have an outstanding day!

JL

From the Rotary Club:

The 4-way test:

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

(Billy - ¡¡qué suerte!!

Thanks, Pepelu!!! Jun 18, 2003

Everything I could say has been expressed already, and I would agree with Ralf that I´m glad to have "met" you virtually. You always take the time out to *share* with us, whether it be an inspirational quote or a great URL. Sharing is a product of love, and love is what life is all about. Thanks, JL!

He's a bridge! Jun 18, 2003

You've already said a lot, but I see him like a bridge, not only between Spain and Argentina but between people, more than a typical translator, aiming to connect souls more than people.
He's generous and has met the person in earth made for him, as generous as he is.

Jl and Au, thanks for being my friends.

You've restored my faith in humanity! Jun 18, 2003

I was having a bad and lonely day until I read Jose's story. I had encountered some aggressive people and as I sat at my computer in my lonely translator and writer's world I was re-living this aggression in my head and wondering why people are like this and started to worry about this and that. Jose's story helped me put things back in perspective and realise for every mean and cold person out there, there are also other kind and warm souls out there too.
Thanks Jose.

friends are like angels Jun 18, 2003

Friends
Our friends are like angels,
Who brighten our days.
In all kinds of wonderful,
Magical ways.
Their thoughtfulness comes,
As a gift from above.
And we feel we're surrounded,
By warm, caring love
Like upside-down rainbows,
Their smiles bring the sun.
And they fill ho-hum moments,
With laughter and fun.
Friends are like angels,
Without any wings.
Blessing our lives,
With the most precious things!

José Luis Thanks for being our friend!

Just one more... Jun 18, 2003

agree to everything that has been said before. And to those who haven't met him but virtually, he's a lot more fun in person (especially when he is "con la gallegada")

Cariños,
Andrea

One more time: thank you! Jun 18, 2003

I always enjoy your messages so much. Sometimes, things like that are the only reason I go to Proz - to take some time off. Thanks again.
