I am using IE 11.0.8 in Windows 7. Bing is the default search provider but I would like Google Search to be my default search provider in the address bar.
I tried selecting Google Search at the IE Gallery (Manage add-ons>Search providers>Find more search providers), but it did not work. I get an error message: "The search provider could not be installed. This might have happened because: a required file could not be downloaded; the website is unavailable, you are not connected to the Internet. You might want to try again later".
Has anyone else successfully overcome this problem? Thanks!
