Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the University of Western Sydney will be hosting the Critical Link 5 Conference (CL5) in 2007.

‘The Critical Link conference is the only major international conference dedicated to Interpreting in the Community. It's held every three years: CL1, CL2, and CL3 were all held in Canada. CL4 was held in Sweden.

Following on from the CL4 theme of “Professionalising Interpreting in the Community”, the theme of CL5 will be: “Quality in Interpreting: a shared responsibility”.’

The conference will be held from 11-15 of April 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Parramatta, Sydney, Australia.
