Hi. I wanted to ask if there is some kind of public registry office for foreign people in Japan, where there is listed the name, address, children, and general data of a person. I have a colleague who translated a certificate where says:

Name of the Head of the family
Resident status
former address
address in origin country

certified by the Major of the city.

He has problems with the title of the certificate, and can't post in KudoZ because it is a Jpg.
