Dear colleagues and staff,

Today, I accidently classified a kudoz question incorrectly (wrong subject fields). I have rectified this immediately, but my concern is: Do people get new kudoz notifications when a question is reclassified? Otherwise, I'd fear that I'm missing valuable input from peers who are specialists in the subject fields needed, but didn't get informed because the subject field of the question originally was one that they don't subscribe to.

Kind regards,
Erik

Hello Erik,

Currently, notifications are not sent when a question is re-classified. A system to allow for this is being worked on, along with a preview feature for questions, which may also help to minimize errors of this type.

Best regards,

Jared

Dear Jared,

Thanks for the information. I think that this would be a very sensible feature.

Perhaps something could also be done about what I suspect to be the reason for my classifying the question incorrectly: I'm absolutely sure that I changed the subject fields to the correct ones, clicked on "preview" (or whatever it is called), spotted some typos and went back (maybe via the browser's "back" button"). I suspect that this was the point where the wrong classifications returned.

Kind regards,
Erik
