I am receiving answer notifications to a question I posted in the Russian-English pair which claim to be in English and Russian but are actually all in English. Here is an example:

Jack Doughty,

=== English ===

Someone has proposed an answer to your KudoZ question. Title:

êîì â ãîðëå

Answerer: Levan Namoradze

You should now review the proposed answer, and decide whether to award KudoZ points.

This doesn't matter to me but it might be a nuisance for some people.

Not sure what is the problem.. Feb 12, 2004

Hi Jack,
I'm not sure what is the problem with this notification: I can read the proposed answer in Russian and the text of notification itself in English and this is how it supposed to be. Don't you see the Russian text (êîì â ãîðëå) ?

Magda

Not much of a problem really Feb 12, 2004

But shouldn't, for example "Your other open questions" be "Âàøè äðóãèå îòêðûòûå âîïðîñû"?

Well, yes it would definitely be good, Feb 12, 2004

and there are plans for localization of the site, but since this require a major programming effort (and translation, of courseicon_wink.gif) it is still on the to do list.

In all language pairs I know of, the notifications are still in English, yet.

Hopefully we will get to this and will be able to offer the site in more language versions.

Thanks Jack!

Magda
