I cannot figure out how to add notes in the box with the question asked (below the question). Sometimes I'd like to clarify prior to giving an answer or to comment but I just can't figure out how. Please help!

Ask the Asker

If you mean to ask for more details to the asker, use the option "Ask the Asker", which is found just below the question.

Don't be put off by the name of this box. It is often used for other purposes than asking questions.

That's how this option shows on my computer's screen, at the bottom of the question box.

not enought KudoZ points
Jun 24, 2004
I don't remember how many KudoZ points (20 or 50) you need to have in order to be able to see the option 'Ask the Asker'. But as you have 4 only, not all options are open to you. In a few days, when you receive some more points, you will see it under the Asker's question.

Hi there, I've been wondering about this for ages. After reading your posts, I still can't find any button saying 'ask the asker' or anything like that. Regards, Javier

Until you get your 20 Kudoz points, you can always ask the asker for additional details/explanations/context as you are answering his question (using the \"Explanation\" box within \"Your Answer\")...
Ciao ciao!
