Long story short, I've been answering a bunch of law question strewn across all fields lately. Granted, they have a strong connection with whatever the entire document or the business context was about, but imagine that you want to make some precious Kudoz in PLEN tax law and questions are classified as Business/Finance (where you get a half of the points if you don't specialise in business/finance but only law, at that). I do not agree with the way questions are classified or subject fields for that matter, either. I agree with you and it is off-putting and discouraging too. But in ProZ, you cannot suggest ideas as I always get- you cannot submit ideas, I do not know why there should be any limits, especially if one has not submitted too many. I also get annoyed with the words- topic or whatever is closed, please submit another request.
