In response to a support ticket, we implemented an option to search specifically for questions with no answers at all. To use it, selected 'unanswered' under 'Status' on the KudoZ search page - http://www.proz.com/kudoz

Please let me know if you see any problems with this. (I mean technical problems.)

Questions closed without grading show up as well Feb 8, 2008

Hi Henry and all,

I just checked the new option for one of my pairs, and it seems that questions which have been closed without grading are included in the list as well (when no answer has been provided). Is this intentional, or was the purpose to be able to spot open unanswered questions?

By the way, please note that the message "This question was closed without grading..." does not really stand out. After a recent discussion in the KudoZ forum, the former grey text in the upper left corner was changed, but IMHO the present solution is even less eye-catching. Any chance this could be solved?

Cheers,

Susanne

Same experience as Susanne Feb 8, 2008

Hi Henry,

There was an entry with a reply obviously entered in the glossary. I first thought it had slipped in by 'mistake' but when I looked, I saw that the the asker had found the answer elsewhere, but entered the term in the glossary anyway.

Also questions without actual answers have discussions in the 'Ask the Asker' section - so these are answers of sorts, so 'Unanswered' is kind of misleading.

My tuppence ha'penny worth!

Lina

Thanks for catching this - the intention was to be able to spot open unanswered questions. I will fix it.

Will do. Thanks!

Why... Feb 9, 2008

... does this new search filter only display questions posted on or after 15th January 2008?
