I just had a look, I would say it's more a site to find a penpal to train your language skills on an amateur basis.
I don't know hao many members they have, the webmaster says "2500 members" but there is no way to check who they are. There is no mention of any business collaboration.
For me it the "make a lot of friends all around the world" type.
Don't get me wrong, this could be nice and fun, but I would not trust it on a professionnal matter.

I am a member Dec 30, 2003

of this website, and as far as I am concerned, I use it on a friendly basis, as it has been said before. The system is an exchange, you help somebody to express themselves in your mothertongue, and they do the same for you. However, asking your penfriend to check your tranlation is highly risky since he/she usually has no real (or not at all) notion of your language.
Anyway, it's a great website to begin to learn a new langage.

I agree with you Karine but Dec 31, 2003

if your penpal is a native speaker, you can still ask him to correct. Then you ask to another one to be sure. and if you really want to be certain, ask to a third one !
This is one method among others to check your translations ...
Happy new 2004 year !
