Dear colleagues,

I would like to share with you my new comic strip. It tells the misadventures of a young translator called Mox. Two PhDs, six languages... and he hardly earns the minimum wage.

Almost all "adventures" are based on mistakes I made over the last decade. The result is a strip full of clichés. However, I hope you will enjoy it.

You may find the strip at:

http://mox.ingenierotraductor.com

Constructive criticism is welcome!

Great ! May 1, 2009

Very funny, I especially loved the "Free Time" one.
I showed it to my roommate and now she understands it is not just me being weird but it is part of being a translator!

Thank you! May 1, 2009

Thank you everybody for your nice words. I'm very pleased to learn that many of you enjoy the strip.

There will be more (mis)adventures soon: Will Mox learn how to raise his rates? Does he use CAT tools? Will he create a blog?

Nice job May 1, 2009

I see it as the illustrative satire of modern translator's freelancing life. I think everyone on here can relate to these.

Are you the author of both the text and the drawings?

Will Mox mutate due to never leaving the screen (let alone the house)? Big head and bottom, three arms / thirty fingers, no legs?

¡Gracias a todos! May 1, 2009

Sonja, nice plot for future strips...

Lingua 5B, I'm the author of both the text and the drawings. However, the characters are so fat that they require quite a lot of ink and time to draw, I wonder if I could outsource that task

Henry, thanks a lot for your offer. I like the idea
