I've read these before in several sites, but of course they're still funny...

"Try traditional Finnish pee soup" is probably the most hilarious one...

Who would pay this much for eating Salt Cold? Mar 11, 2004

This is what I read from a menu in a restorant in Barcelona about a month ago:

Salt Cold with ratatonille or Catalan Style -- $14.10

Another menu error Mar 11, 2004

When I was in Cyprus I saw a sign that said

Carlick soyp and soyp of the day.

Both gave me a chuckle.

I bought a book called English spoken here that shows incorrectly translated signs in various countries, it was worth a laugh.

I laughed until I cried. I have seen similar ones before, but this really made me laugh so hard, that I scared my cats!
Thanks!

Italian Chinese restaurant menu Mar 11, 2004

My local Chinese restaurant has an English menu (in addition to the Italian) which includes "sprint rolls" and "crap meat soup".

Recently found menu treats in Lisieux, Normandy Apr 5, 2007

One of the menu items was 'sliced twerp with apple' — they'd adpoted the slang meaning of 'andouill' (a type of sausage, in fact!)

also one dish wam '...with a Normandy lady' (à la Normande)

might have been unexpectedly tasty, that one!

The rest was equally bad, I particularly liked 'moulds tee-shirts' (moules marinières), but the list is too long even to post here!
