When you're out of the office, you're wandering around.
When your boss is out of the office, he's on business.

When you're on a day off sick, you're always sick.
When your boss is a day off sick, he must be very ill.

When you take a long time, you're slow.
When your boss takes a long time, he's thorough.

When you don't do it, you're lazy.
When your boss doesn't do it, he's too busy.

When you make a mistake, you're an idiot.
When your boss makes a mistake, he's only human.

When doing something without being told, you're overstepping your authority.
When your boss does the same thing, that's initiative.

When you apply for leave, you must be going for an interview.
When your boss applies for leave, it 's because he's overworked.

What do you see???

Sabry

I feel inclined to make a poem out of that May 30, 2004

When you're out of the office, you should be around.
When the boss is away, he is working.
When your boss is off sick, his health's really unsound.
When you are off sick, you are shirking.

When you take a long time, you're incredibly slow.
When your boss does the same, he's meticulous.
If it doesn't get done, then it's your lazy fault.
It's the boss's fault? No, that's ridiculous!

When you make a mistake, you're a total dead loss.
When the boss makes one, he's only human.
If the boss shows initiative, no-one gets cross.
If you do, the fall guy is you, man!

When they give you the sack, then you're out on your ear.
When the boss goes, he gets a fat bonus.
They'll never treat us like they treat him, I fear,
But they don't have to act like they own us!

"By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may
eventually get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day."
