How a full time job at 450/week in MIAMI (well-known expensive city) can be defined..irresistible?

Are you kidding? Is this a joke?

Tempting Apr 12, 2006

You forgot the rest of the ad:

"Highly dedicated individuals only who are not afraid of lots of overtime.

Because of the extraordinary high salary you are also expected to water the plants, do the dishes, clean the carpets and take care of the garbage after the other employees left (also see overtime requirement).

If the plants survive until Christmas you are entitled to an annual bonus of 10$, payable in food stamps and/or fast food coupons. This is a voluntary incentive offered to you. We are allowed to change these terms anytime if the economy or our financial situation should deteriorate."

Anyway, thanks for sharing Luisa. This is indeed tempting and therefore you won't be the only person who will apply, I will also try my luck (hope that you are not mad at me now for the competition).

Take care

Andy

More competition Apr 12, 2006

I did an evening class in Spanish the year before last. Surely that qualifies me for the job too?

Irresistible indeed Apr 12, 2006

It is all tongue in cheek, for heavens sake! That is why it is posted in this forum. The ad is either an insult, a joke, or the work of an ignorant.
But it is a real ad posted on craigslist.org under legal jobs in Miami. No kidding!

Craigslist: A moron employer's favorite Apr 12, 2006

Such job ads are everywhere but as Craigslist is a free service, it suits such miser employers more and one usually finds more of such ads there. Here you can find a collection of such real ads:

The problem is there are not many "Dave Suthibut"s to be our "Don Quijote"s!

The silver lining is there are always better jobs in the market:
