Even if you do not have any knowledge of Swedish, you might find it interesting (provided you are interested at all) as it is quite systematic and contains important elements of grammar.

for this interesting posting. I immediately had a look at it. I think it may be useful but having no audio file how do I learn the phonology of the language?

I have been in the city of Orebro (Erebro) a while ago.. - and fell in love with the country and people. Then I wrote to your Queen once and got an answer (from her Secretary or Chief Marshal) and some help!

Dear Mats,
Thank you! I have also been toying with the idea of starting Swedish. Do you know anything about the Uppsala Winter and Summer schools? I found them on the web.
To Sabina: If you scroll down and to to the link called "Introduction to Swedish" in the Links section, you will find some audio files.

Are you involved in the project? Could you get them to capitalise the names of the languages (i.e. English, not english). Call me a purist, but it just looks so wrong in English to have names of languages beginning in small case. Apart from that, the site looks very good, and although I don't currently any Swedish, I'll have a go at learning some.
