Linguists at Cambridge University have launched a study using Twitter to track how the usage of the Welsh language is changing. Welsh is only spoken by approximately one-sixth of the population of Wales. However, enough of those speakers are tweeting in Welsh to have allowed researchers to compile a database of source material to use as a starting point for additional field research...
