A real treasure discovered in the web!

http://www.pepysdiary.com/

This site is a presentation of the diaries of Samuel Pepys, the renowned 17th century diarist who lived in London, England. A new entry written by Pepys is published each day; 1 January 1660 was published on 1 January 2003. The site offers also a discussion forum where "pepysologists" annotate every diary entry, plus lots of background info on 17th century fashion, health, money, government, travels, food etc.

Great site, thanks Magda!
All the more interesting as I am currently reading the fascinating biography by Claire Tomalin "Samuel Pepys, The Unequalled Self" (the 2002 Whitbread prize winner). I was thinking of reading the diary next but was a bit daunted by the size, this site reduces it into nice manageable snippets.
