Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday.
The only languages still unchecked on my list are Armenian, Hebrew, Tagalog, Korean and Japanese.

Any help gratefully received!

All the best from Greece,

Michael

It is usually translated as "영혼", "정신", or "마음" depending on the context. It is also translated as "소울" when it is used as a music genre though the National Institute of Korean Language only recommends the use of "솔", not "소울".

As in 'Body and Soul'?
If so, it is usually translated as '魂' in Japanese.

It would however be 'ソウル' if you mean 'Soul music'.

My Hebrew is still shaky but I would say נפש (nefesh).

In Armenian the equivalent for the word "soul" is "հոգի". Usually, it is confused with the word "spirit" the equivalent of which will be "ոգի".
