Hi all,
I've just downloaded Passolo Demo Version and don't know how to add Microsoft Glossaries to the "Global Glossaries" list. It says it can't read their format. Is there anyone who could help me?

I've been using it with MS glossaries loaded (by the way which format are you using? I converted the csv file into tab-separated txt, maybe that made a difference) and it allows you to compile a glossary as you proceed in translation.

The free Quickship Edition [http://www.alchemysoftware.ie/quickship/] is translator-oriented; the full version has many more project-managing features.
And the Catalyst people seem a great bunch, too!

file.txt may contain features that are not compatible with tab-separated text. Do you want to keep...Etc..” You know...“Click on ‘Yes’, ‘No’... ‘Maybe’”[author’s silly note ]I clicked on ‘Yes’ to keep that format but still Passolo could not read it.

How on earth did you manage to convert them into tab-separated txt and to make your tool ‘digest’ them? Sorry for being hopelessly dummy!:-)

Hello,
We have a product named ApSIC Xbench (http://www.apsic.com/en/downloads.html) that is free, loads any Microsoft software glossary and works with any Windows application, using a system-wide key combination. Download it and read the documentation, probably it will do the trick and you will be able to work with the editor of your fancy whilst having Microsoft terminology one click away.

The PASSOLO glossary format is nearly the same as the ms glossaries. It\'s described in the handbook. You should be able to convert it with MS Excel.
Or you can write to the PASSOLO guys, they have a tool to convert the ms glossaries to the PASSOLO format

PASSOLO offers a macro that you can use to convert Microsoft Glossaries to PASSOLO format. You can download it from
http://www.passolo.com/support/downloadmacros.stm
and then add it to your PASSOLO macros.
