The next Localization World conference will be help in Barcelona, 30 May - 1 June, 2006

You can find more info in:

http://www.localizationworld.com/lwbar2006/index.htm

I know registration fees are unfortunately pretty high for most freelancers, but these are always great opportunities from both a professional and networking point of view.

Not really conviced yet... Apr 10, 2006

Hi Roberta,

I thought about subscribing, maybe just for one day, but I'm disappointed by a program that doesn't seem much relevant for freelancers.(http://www.localizationworld.com/lwbar2006/program.htm)

Has anyone attended that kind of conference in the past? Are they worth a 400 EUR price tag?

Ciao, Alain

I plan to attend. Apr 16, 2006

Hello Roberta,

I am going there, we will have an exciting round-table discussion with people from Idiom and SDL, moderated by Jost Zetzsche on the future of translation technology. It'll definitely be an interesting event but I'm also afraid that the admission fee is too high for most freelancers.

Cheers,
István
