Hello everyone, This has probably been asked before, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I just got off the phone with a translation agency who requires Wordfast Pro, and so my question is this: Can someone tell me if/how to use memoQ "AS IF IT WERE WORDFAST PRO"? Don't worry, I will of course tell them I am using memoQ. I just want to know if I can tell them that "memoQ is compatible with Wordfast Pro" (or not). That is, can I de... See more Hello everyone, This has probably been asked before, but I'm going to ask it anyway. That is, can I deliver Wordfast Pro files to this client, using (only) memoQ? So far I have found this: http://blog.albatrossolutions.com/tent-cat-tools/translating-wordfast-txml-files\ -in-memoq, but Roberto Savelli states here that I would need to (briefly) run my translation through Wordfast before sending it to the client. He says: ----------------------- "3. Check the translated file in Wordfast (*) Restore the .txml extension and open the translated file in Wordfast. You should get no error messages. Check that the total number of segments is identical to the original files, check the tag positions, etc. (*) Make one simple modification in the file with Wordfast (e.g. add and delete a space), and save the file. This step will rewrite some specific Wordfast headers and guarantees compatibility." ------------------------ Any suggestions/tips would be very welcome! Hi Michael, we have reached a 100% success rate following the procedure I described in my blog (linked in your previous post). By the way, you no longer need to change the extension of the .txml files. Copying source to target is crucial because this allows memoQ to leave the source unchanged while using its flexible XML filter to make the target translatable. Hello Michael, Like Roberto, I wrote my own procedure for working with WordFast Pro files in memoQ. It is available here: http://hell.pl/wasaty/blog/2010/07/14/translating-wordfast-txml-in-memoq/ While both cover basically the same procedure for files, from my post you can learn how to import WordFast TM into memoQ. I work this way quite often with WF files and I've never had any problems with them.
