I was working on a file in MemoQ and unexpectely got an "error" message. It appeared each time I tried to type something new or even scroll within the file.

This is what the details said:

TYPE:
MemoQ.Translation.CollectionInvariantException

MESSAGE:
Merging from bookmark but there are URRowEdit items in undo list
Not filtered / not sorted
NeedsUpdateOnView: 76 77 83 143
Dirty rows: none
[144] Status changed
[Row 147

So does anyone know how to correct the problem because I really need to export the file I was working on (I was 98% done). For some reason it has not affected the other file as I was able to acces it and make changes and export it.

Anyone please help because I have the project due right away!

Thanks,
Sarah

Short of calling on memoQ Support, try shutting down memoQ and restarting . . .
Sometimes that miraculously clears up accumulated cobwebs.

Thanks Frank! May 22, 2012

I did what you said and now MemoQ works like normal. By the way, I am new to MemoQ. I just got the trial 2 days ago.

I was scared that if I re-started I would lose everything so I actually copied and pasted everything into Excel just in case.

Never! After over two years of intensive use every day, I think that the biggest loss we have experienced in case of a crash or software issue was three or four segments.

You have to remember that, unlike other products including SDL Studio, memoQ is database-driven: your segments are stored individually in a database and their translations get saved as you confirm them. What you lose if you memoQ crashes (infrequent) or is closed (with Windows' Task Manager if you want to experiment a bit) in the middle of translation is the unconfirmed segment you are working on.

If you have a very long segment and you need to stop for some reason before conforming it, you can press Ctrl+S or click the Save All icon, which simply saves the current segment so that you can continue later.
