Hello, colleagues

I'm learning to use MemoQ and would like the term base I have filled since 2000. It's an Excel file wherein there are 5 colums for English, Spanish, Italian, French and German.

a) Is there a way to use it in MemoQ with that format (5 columns)?
b) Would it be easier to use a special Excel file containing, for instance, just the English and Spanish languages (2 columns) ?

You just need to convert your Excel file to a .csv file. To do so Save As as ‘Unicode text *.txt’, then change the file extension to ‘.csv’. To read more about this have a look at:

You just need to convert your Excel file to a .csv file. To do so Save As as ‘Unicode text *.txt’, then change the file extension to ‘.csv’. To read more about this have a look at:

If you convert the Excel file straight to a .csv (via Save As) – that is, without the Unicode Text step – you will most likely mess up certain special characters in your glossaries (such as ñ, é, etc.).
