Perhaps this was already discussed here, but the search engine only returns results for comparing MemoQ to other CAT software.

I'm wondering about the best workflow for MemoQ to work with Word documents that have tracked changes in them. At the company we use our own MemoQ server, we do have some Trados Studio licenses and I know that SDL handles tracked changes files well. However I'm trying to avoid excessive CAT-hopping, as there are problems with resources, users not being proficient with both tools etc.

Perhaps it's also worth mentioning that we usually get the tracked changes files that we did not work on initially - i.e. those are TC in somebody else's translation, so we do not have the initial set of files and can't e.g. X-translate easily. We used to manually align the files and then try to X-translate and still later compare the two target files in Word. Unfortunately this takes a lot of time, effort and resources and I'm wondering whether there is some other way to do that with MemoQ?
