Hello all,

I'm translating literally tens of thousands of words in a huge automotive project using MemoQ.

I'm learning about this software as I go!

Now there is a EuroTermBank plugin involved, and the automatic insertion of terms that goes with it.

As you can imagine, there are many, many references to transmissions in this project...hundreds of them. I always get an automatic term insertion here: "automatical".

Automatical? I can't imagine a context where I'd use that particular word. Certainly not automatical transmission

How do I delete it forever from my term base?

Just disable plugin Jun 12, 2015

No need to delete terms, just disable the offending plugin(s):

Having these plugins enabled by default is one of the stupidest "features" of memoQ IMO (fortunately, there aren't many of them).

Thank you, Dominique, for your prompt answer.

Your solution seemed right so I took the steps to disable TAUS and something called MyMemory, both by Kilgray, in TM plugins.

The EuroTermBank plugin is under Terminology Plugins.

Great, thanks so much!

Unfortunately, the EuroTermBank plugin isn't in the list for me to disable. [it's under the "Terminology plugins" tab!] (I thought it might be TAUS, but...no changes in TM behaviour after disabling.)

I don't know how to show you, as you've done, but I can tell you everything that can be disabled in the TM plug-ins options has been disabled...and the absurdly non-native English terms continue to pop up in my translation.

Any other ideas?

Hi Nancy,

(1) Under "Terminology plugins", you can disable "EuroTermBank plugin"
(2) Under "TM plugins", you can disable "MyMemory plugin" + "TAUS Plugin"

Michael
